ABG President Toroama Launch’s Project Pasin Tumbuna

Pasin Tumbuna was officially launched by the President of ABG and Minister for Inter-Government Affairs, Hon. Ishmael Toroama, at Bel Isi Park in Buka District on October 23, 2024, marking the opening of Bougainville Voice X-Plosion 2024.

This year’s theme for the Bougainville Voice X-Plosion (BVX) is “Keep the Fire Buring: Blak Loud & Proud.”

In his remarks, President Toroama emphasized that “Bougainville Voice X-Plosion serves as a platform to share your message through your chants.” He encouraged everyone to engage, share their visions, and make an impact with their voices.

Pasin Tumbuna focuses on advocacy for unity, strength, and the preservation of Bougainvilles traditions and music, and is being produced under the guidance of Wantok Musik Label.

 The project, initiated by the Bougainville Youth Federation in collaboration with Wantok Musik Label, and supported by PNGAus Partnership, MFAT and the Autonomous Bougainville Government, aimed to promote unity and youth engagement in the region. As part of the Bougainville Partnerships Youth Initiative Program, the annual BVX helps create opportunities and exposure for talented young musicians, blending contemporary music with traditional Bougainville chants
