BYF Chairman Attends Training of Trainers Workshop

From the 20^th to 24^th of April 2026, the Bougainville Disabilities Persons Organisation (BDPO) conducted a four-day Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop in Arawa.

The training brought together representatives from various government departments, organizations, and stakeholder groups to strengthen their capacity to deliver training within their respective communities and sectors.

Chairman of the Bougainville Youth Federation (BYF), Mr. Michael Dave, was among the participants who attended the workshop. He expressed his appreciation for the knowledge and skills shared throughout the training and highlighted the importance of applying these lessons when training fellow youths across Bougainville.

Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to practical training methodologies and facilitation techniques. Trainers were provided with training templates and guidance on how to effectively plan and conduct training sessions. Participants then delivered practice presentations, receiving constructive feedback from facilitators and fellow trainees to enhance their training and communication skills.

The workshop forms part of ongoing efforts to build local capacity and ensure that trained representatives can effectively share knowledge within their organizations and communities, contributing to greater awareness, inclusion, and empowerment throughout Bougainville.
